Core Volunteer positions

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Volunteer Coordinator to help us review volunteer applications, onboard new volunteers, and ensure each person is matched with the right role.
Responsibilities:
Review and screen incoming volunteer applications
Communicate with applicants throughout the onboarding process
Coordinate placements based on skills, interests, and organizational needs
Maintain records of active volunteers and their assigned roles
Collaborate with the team to identify open volunteer opportunities
Ideal Candidate:
Background in HR, recruiting, or volunteer management preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Able to commit a few hours per week (flexible schedule)
Bonus: Comfortable with Airtable

Responsibilities
Partner with lead volunteers to shape and strategize SSR’s year-end fundraising campaign for Q4 2025
Develop a budget, set metrics, and design the 2026 fundraising campaign
Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, individual donors, and foundations
Ideal Candidate
3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a proven track record of success
Strong organizational and project management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with creative, out-of-the-box thinking
Bonus: Loves dogs!
