This could be the start of something beautiful

thank you so much for your interest in adopting!

If you’ve made it this far, it means that you and everyone in your family is ready to bring home a new family member!

Before applying, please read our FAQs below. Then, complete – like, all the way complete – an application and indicate the dog(s) you’re interested in.

Adoption FAQs

  • Fill out our application here and if you’re a good match for one of our pups, a volunteer will get in touch with you within 2-3 business days.

  • Yes! We love prepared applicants! As part of our application process, we require 3 non-familial references, a video home tour, and a copy of your lease stating you can have dogs (if applicable). If you have all of these ready, it can speed up the process!

  • We do not allow dogs to be placed “on hold” due to a large number of applicants. In addition, holding a dog would mean we can’t free up our foster homes to save more dogs. We suggest making sure you’re absolutely ready to bring a dog into your home in the near future before applying!

  • The first step is to start by applying here. Please note which dogs and also the general type of dog (age, gender, size, etc.) you are interested in so our adoption counselors have a sense of who you may be a match for.

We also regularly have events where our adoptable dogs are often available to meet (please check Instagram close to the day of for which dogs will be making an appearance!).

  • Our adoption fees are as follows and help us cover some (but not all) of the expenses for saving dogs including veterinary care, microchipping, core vaccines, spay/neuter, and transport:

Puppies (1 year or younger): $550

    Adults (1-8 years old): $500

Seniors (Over 8 years old): $450

Each adoption fee is non-negotiable and non-refundable. In addition to each adoption fee, we require a $60 collar and harness deposit. Our dogs wear our SSR gear when adopted for safety. When our gear is returned, we will refund you the deposit.

  • All of our dogs are rescued from high kill-shelters in the United States, predominantly from TX and NC, as well as locally through our partnership with the NY ACC.

  • Upon intake all our dogs undergo a veterinary examination, including spayed/neutered, microchipping, receiving core vaccinations, and heartworm treatment, if applicable.
